 Since times immemorial and in current times as well Revenue Department has been basic engine of administration . The Patwaris who are the main soldiers of this department have maintained land records of respective villages and helped in other administration efforts in our part of the world .

But General public  are disappointed with the various function of revenue department in the Kashmir region especially Srinagar District  putting them to great hardships .

First and foremost , the Patwaris

who were delivering their duties in different parts of capital city Srinagar, some of them were called back to the parents districts . While as it is not abnormal but what is weird is that many Patwaris have been given additional charges to fill the vacuum which is causing masses hardships and the said revenue official due to it is not able to dedicate the time they need .

Reliable sources have revealed that on ground zero quite inept transfer policy is being followed with reference especially to Patwaris .

 Scores of Patwaris are serving in same Tehsil for even six to 7 years or more  , it is further learnt that even if the transfer occurs it is a pick and choose by Patwaris to exchange mere areas who are buddies and transfer policy is dictated by land brokers .

The DC office which is the main guiding force for functioning of  Patwaris  needs to look keenly at framing an effective and efficient transfer policy which is not dictated by blue eyed preferences but a policy that makes Patwaris accountable and more proactive .

Sane voices  looking keenly at revenue related things believe that framing a dynamic transfer policy would go long way in killing nepotism and corrupt tendencies among Patwaris .

Plus there is also need to send more Patwaris at Ground rather than retaining them unnecessarily  like sitting ducks in respective  offices where they don't learn much.

Administration has not been able to get maximum of the breathers and reforms made in transfer policy especially when it comes to making upto mark Patwari Transfer policy serving needs of people .

The transfer policy that gets implemented in core part of every financial year is deemed by expert voices that in year 2021 it revolutionizes entire revenue system of Kashmir especially Patwari transfers in Srinagar District.

The need of the hour is to bring in place such vibrant mechanisms in the overall realms of transfer policy in Patwari like posts wherein they become in real terms the public servants and free from tags of being a corrupt looking position .

For Prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir to usher keeping in mind utmost transparent ethics in mind time has come to devise ever dynamic transfer policy in revenue department
